And that is a good system. Has absolutely nothing to do with Model 70's or Springfields, mind you, and is not applicable if you have slid a round in ahead of the extractor but a good way of loading that sixth round, nonetheless.
It was you who brought the Model 70 into the discussion. I'm sure this method would work on a Model 70 or a Model 54; or you could simply drop the cartridge into the chamber and close the bolt as the design allows.

Bolt pulled back round in chamber load magazine hold rounds down & close bolt. Any of my commercial mausers push feed extractor clips over rim closing bolt - CZ550, Zastava, Ruger Hawkeye.
