i just bought a sks surplus rifle and since i live far away from my range i never even shot it before i modded it.
i put an ATI tactical stock on it
then i put a magwedge scope mount on it,
bought a banana clip for it, so flipdown box magazine had to go
in the process every piece of gun came apart almost
i think i got it back together correctly
now too eager to see if clip and everything else worked [except firing pin, lol] i loaded it and inserted it , it has to be slammed in.
then pulled bolt back to put one in the pipe.
this is all in my basement
now i have a loaded weapon and cant figure how to unload it?
carefully jigggling it with safety on then safety off i somehow managed to get it open that once and then could even remove clip and 4 remaining bullets, i had to partially cycle the bolt to get bullets half in pipe then fingernail them out to avoid a loaded weapon again and not be sure how to remove/unload it safely.
so how does the sks get unloaded safely when you cant just fire the last round in the pipe/clip?
