Lets see now. A heavy rifle weighs 13 pounds, an average rifle weighs 10 pounds, and a light weight rifle weighs 7 pounds. And we got people whining and sniffling for the difference of about 3 pounds
If 3 extra pounds is so darn heavy for a adult male, who carries your water, bullets, lunch and your knife? When you get mud on your boots, do you have to discard them because they're too heavy?
I am pretty sure it is more a matter of preference than necessity. I have 100 lbs on you when i am naked and dry, work a physical job, and prefer a lighter rifle when i am on a hunt involving lots of miles on the bootleather. On an open country hunt when the spotting is done by truck, and i close the distance on foot, my rifle is more likely to be closer to 12 lbs. I can handle them both, but if i shave 4 lbs off my total weight load, that is 4 lbs more water i can carry, or an extra knife, or a better spotting scope, or, or, or......
Could it be that you have tiny lightweight testicles that don't weigh you down, so you can afford a heavier gun?
