hey guys,
Last time I took the norc out shooting I was getting minute of pie plate at 100m. Prob about 6-8" group. My gun doesn't have a cheek riser "yet" which I know will affect things but the poor grouping got me thinking about my mount. I'm pretty sure it's a no name mount (it came with the gun along with a cabelas 3-9 scope) but it has several locking points and was mounted down tight with blue locktite and had no noticeable movement.
So now is it worth it to buy a good scope mount like an m14.ca or Sadlack? I really don't want to spend hundreds of dollars on a mount if it's not going to make any difference in accuracy. My gun already has an aftermarket OP spring guide rod and locks up nice and tight at the 6 position for the Gas lock so I never used shims.
This is the mount.
