How is this for a ML shot - Warning possible GRAPHIC PIC

atv = junk :p

headshots arent my cup of tea and im against them for anything more than point blank shots or finishing off cripples. but, i guess it was a good shot...
 
Nice buck; good shot.

I shoot 300gr SST's in my in-line ML. They are crazy accurate; I'd say how accurate, but the naysayers would be calling me a liar. I'm using the "old-style" ones with the black sleeve; very stiff to load, but lazer accurate.

Lucky, maybe, but there is something to be said for practice practice and more practice. :)

Let the whiners complain all they want, my freezer is full, and I don't take the shot unless I am confident I can anchor it. (hard lesson learned in the early days :redface:)

I'll stick to my original post "Lucky". A deer's brain is far from 6" wide. I can put a 240 grain sst in a 3" circle at 200 yards with my fancy Nikon Omega scope, but I still would have aimed lower than the head. I'm not hating or whining on any sort of ethics as to where shot placement should have been, I'm just saying you got lucky. I've seen guys head shot wounded deer from 10 feet away and still not kill them. :p

Yes, the "flame suite" went on before the post went up, I figured this one would turn into a gong show like the others before, but I still had to put it out there. thanks for the support from all the non-haters out there.

As for the quad, the one in the pic is my hunting partner's.

Who has ethical issues with this shot?....The deer is dead what else is there to say?....

As for muzzle loader accuracy I can put 3 slugs from my CVA Optima topped with the Bushnell muzzleloader scope w/DOA250 recticle basically in the same ragged hole at 150yds......
