Supposedly no. The "endurance package" came out in response to numerous timing failures of early models.
I have a Model 29, former safe queen, bought through an estate and unfired, made in 1988 (29-4) with the firing pin on the hammer. Its 8 3/8" barrel and has wood hunter grips. I have no paperwork or its original box/manual. Would this be a performance version?
Doesn't sound like it. The S&W Performance Center guns are usually very obviously modified for competition versions.
Yours sounds like a regular production gun although the longer barrel is kind of rare
I used to work with a guy who damaged his elbow tendons long term with a few thousand factory .44 mag. loads. But he was shooting a super blackhawk which put a lot more upward torque on your arm.
A guy, or a girl?
Everybody is talking about the 629 taking 10,000+ rounds. What I want to know is what 10,000 rounds of 44mag do to his arm?
I continue to be impressed. What range had 50m gongs?
