How many 10/10 mags would you buy?

1) The originals aren't marked. At all. Why would these need to be?
2) AIA isn't dead, just sleeping. Changing focus.
3) How many times have you seen these mags on the EE?
Not very many are there for long, so you would be lucky to even see it.
How many times have you seen them being sold for $150 each, 2 views, and already marked SPF?
Every time.

For about any other mag $75 is too much. For these, in Canada, a deal.

4) 4 for me. Interested in 20's if they will stay in the 'riffle' with that extra weight.

1) no They are physicly diffrent
2) Because they're sitting on stock of rifles already
3) Once in a blue moon 100 bucks normal price

If there were a credible, documented reason to believe these things were really going to materialize and become available from a trusted vendor/member I would even be willing to pre-pay for a couple. I fully support anyone who wants to bring 10/10 AIA magazines into Canada.

They have to be made... Then shipped and with the border never know what can happen. It takes time and there is always a risk of it going poof at the border so preordering they would have to know the price and if they wil make it in the country or not

There was a big debacle about a company that tried producing these at one point...their literacy was lacking to say the least when they labelled the mags but the whole thing got shut down for some reason. I believe it was before the ruling on the LAR mags etc.

Do we remember who was the CGN user (or company) behind this project? He still around?

What was the last we heard from him?

The business promoting them was MoreGun Supply. Raided, shut down, charges laid.

Too bad :(

Hope someone else picks this up. I don't know what MoreGun was up to, but 10 round AIA magazines are legal in Canada, and life is too short to own rifles that only fire five rounds.

What I'm saying is that if they were a credible organization making a real effort, I would be willing to share in the risk by putting up some money in advance pre-paying for a few mags, to help make it happen.

I would suggest that the startup costs for a project like this would be such that prepayment for a few magazines wouldn't make any difference.
No idea how many magazines would need to be ordered to justify manufacture. Bet it is a pretty serious number though.
And the suckers would have to be manufactured to a high standard. If the magazines were shoddy, the business would be left with unsaleable junk.

The 7.62x51 AIA was designed around the M-14 magazine. It had to be redesigned slightly to avoid a 5 round cap.
There are companies manufacturing M-14 magazines. They have tooling for mass production. If they could be convinced to alter their tooling to make AIA magazines, there is the source for magazines. Dollars to doughnuts they would want payment up front.
There is the risk for anyone wanting to have these magazines made. Money will be gone, and the mags. still have to be imported.

I wonder if Norinco's factory could be persuaded. They already have the tooling to do it, and not only would they earn money from the high price the magazines would attract, but also flooding the Canadian market with these magazines would presumably significantly increase the number of people interested in buying their rifles.

I may be wrong but I seem to remember being told by a reliable source that the AIA mags were manufactured in China. Might have been the AIA rep I talked to that told me that but don't quote me on that.
