how many .22's do you own? And why? (hunting/Collecting etc..)

Anschutz 1418 mannlicher stock
Krico mannlicher stock
Browning buckmark SPorter
Winchester 63
Uberti 66 SPorter
Greener martini
J vennables martini
C sharps 1885 high wall
Varner stevens
Remington 121
Springfield m6 scout

More than 30 but not more than 50 and enough parts to build a dozen more.
The one I use the most, m75 Cooey that's sawed off and has a Carl G scope fitted upon it.
Have a couple others I use for club shoots.
The others are dust collectors and are admired often.
Still looking for more. I have an uncontrollable military trainer/single shot fetish. Got a few that haven't been shot by me yet, one of these days.
Be well

CZ452 Lux - range toy and grouse hunting -this is the only firearm I have ever bought new
CIL Anschutz 190 target rifle - usually the most accurate firearm wherever it goes, unless somebody's got a higher end Anschutz at the range that day
BSA 12/15 target rifle - love that Martini action, olde worlde quality (late 1940s) - not quite as accurate at 25 or 50 m as my Anschutz, but very happy at 100 m
Husqvarna single shot (from Trade Ex), very petite, octagonal barrel, nice tangent sight, surprisingly accurate

Let me see if i can remember the ones i have
3 x single shot husqvarna ,one octagonal barrel.one round barrel and the dellux model heavy barrel
cooey 60 weaver k3 scope
winchester model 490 semi auto
norinco jw25 k98 training replica
marlin bolt action
reminginton target master single shot
i think thats it for now

I have my first rifle, a Cooey 64 from away back but I never shoot it. I have some Savage TR's, a Ruger semi auto (doesn't everybody?) & some other misc. stuff, a weakness for Brno No. 1's, 2's (all variants of), 5's and 581's and a 511. I have a 511 with the larger magazine (20 rounds?) and it's like a little assault rifle, lots of fun. I have a Beretta Olympia which is interesting and a set of 4 CZ's (Varmint, American, full stock and a Varmint in .17 ~ think gophers). I also have a engraved Winchester Model 64 (modern reproduction from a few years ago), a Winchester Model 74 (just wood and metal, no plastic), a Winchester Lever Action and some other stuff..

I also have a weakness for Browning's .22's and have a couple of engraved semi auto's and Trombones (plus a collection of Trombone's).

One of the happiest days of my life was when I sold my last piece of reloading equipment, now I just sweep up brass for the recycling bucket at the range.

I enjoy introducing new people to the sport. So I have a Cooey 600 with original sights, and a side-mount scope, if I wish, and a Ruger 10/22. Once they're tired of that, we go into the smaller centerfires, and up gradually. Likewise, when starting people on pistols, a Buckmark, then I move them to a Sig with a .22 conversion, then to other calibres.

Oh, and a barrel insert for my 12ga has a .22... but I rarely use it.

2

One was my dads, He smacked gophers with it... I smacked a gopher with it now it sits well oiled and cleaned in my safe as a keepsake.

The other is my custom 10/22 for target, fun and hunting.

I used to have a nice annie and some cz's but they all parted away from me.

I really enjoy my 22's

rws53, you have quite an impressive collection of firearms (and airguns from your posts on CAF). Occasionally we read of guys having had NIB rifles for a long time. Off the top of your head, do you know how many you have and what they are?

The recently acquired 10/22 and T/CR22 didn't last long as NIB.

10/22 Takedown see this LINK

T/CR22 see this LINK starting on 8th picture down

I have a lot of guns that don't get much use...the only NIB is one of the two Mini-14's I bought a couple of weeks ago.

I own 2. My first is an old lever action Ithaca M 49 with iron sights. Absolutely love this little gun! Throw it in the back of the truck and use it daily.

My second is a Sig Sauer 1911 semi auto pistol. Got it on sale new at Cabela’s for $330. Great little gun for plinking.

Cooey single shot .22 shorts, Plinkster .22LR, old Remington .22lr bolt action and a CTC .22 pellet gun. Also others I've forgotten about over the years. Dam it sucks getting old and you can't remember the guns you've had  f:P:2:
