how many .22's do you own? And why? (hunting/Collecting etc..)

Without opening the safe, I think I've still got six.
Three Remington semis, two 597's (one of which is a VTR) and a 552 Speedmaster.
Also have three handguns, a SIG220 (exchange kit), S&W M&P 22 and a Ruger Bearcat.
I've bought and sold so many over the years, it's hard to keep track.
.22 rimfire is by far my favourite calibre.

Cheers!

I own 5 rimfires.....Why?....because they're fun to shoot (lots). Cheaper ammo & less recoil=less pain & more trigger time!

All my rifles are bolt action.....
2x Scoped long rifles (One tube feed, one box mag).
1x Scoped 13" shortie
1x Peep sight single shot
1x Ruger MarkIII

I have one Toz-17 with 2 mags and K10 Weaver on it. Excellent training rifle for breathing, trigger action exercise.100M precision rifle on the cheap.

inherited Mosberg 480 tube loader, iron site,
Cooey 600 with 4x scope tube loader
Cooey 38 ironsite single.round
and a Ruger 10-22 (FPOS)...
all ok except the ruger....and what a blast....brick after brick of ammo
almost forgot Jager semi-auto...

no rifles anymore (had as many as 8) since the 17s came out i don't see any point
one pistol...

10 years later and I'll say I now own 6 22LR rifles and 3 22LR pistols.
Kid's are just too easy to keep amused with them and practice is way less costly than centerfire.
Oddly enough I only have one 17 Mach 2 left as we moved to a gopher free zone.

Used to have 4 but sold one. Lots of fun plinking and squirrel hunting. The wife is looking at buying one just for herself, which has me looking at another for me too...

I love old 22's,i have about 50 of them, including my favorites, old Mossbergs, about 20 of those,a couple Winchester 9422's,old Pump Rossis, the short and the long.some Toz's,JC Higgins,a few Nylon 66 in brown, and black/chrome,10C,77,even a pretty rare Nylon 11 bolt action,10-22 of course,Belgium made Browning SA,old AR-7 stainless,a pair of heavy barrel kids Cricket sniper riffles with thumbhole stocks, and others in the back i cant remember, some handguns as well.S&W 617-2,,made before all the cheap parts in the new ones,25 year old Browning Buckmark,1911,collecting 22's can turn into an addiction if you're not carefull.LOL

added some Marlins to the collection,a model 99 from 1959 before they became the Model 60.a model 600,which is a fancier version of the 60 made for a large US supplier, also got a Browning T-Bolt made in Belgium in the 60's,straight pull is very different to get used to,so the addiction continues,

Cooey model 39 (same rifle I learned on as a kid, redid it a few years ago. Plan to eventually have kids and teach them on it)
Cooey Model 60
Norinco something something Pistol

Had lots but those are the currents.

Currently one. Its a cz 455 trainer with a williams peep sight, 0.05 in aperture disc, and a spring job. I will probably try to fit a front globe sight at one point. Its purely for target shooting.

I have a t1x on preorder for scoped target shooting.

I might buy a semi auto target 22 in the future.
