How many black rifle owners are in Canada?

Change that to "Military style firearm" as the antis are prone to and suddenly there's a lot of us. :p

I just wish that every gun owner in this country would get an NFA or CSSA membership. It'll never happen, but in a perfect world...

I finally got an NFA membership the day before the election, feeling pretty good about it, definitely money well spent.

I'd imagine that black rifle owners, or even gun owners sympathetic to our cause don't make up enough numbers to be hugely politically significant, but if we make some noise, hopefully someone will listen.
 
The liberals,socialists and rcmp will never be satisfied until they have everyones guns.We will have to stick together no matter what you own. You can bet there are lots of liberals and rcmp posing as gun nuts.
 
There are 42k SKS.

I have an ATI form around with various guns, with numbers as of last month. About 8k AR15(colt)

I highly recommend filing an ATI request on any questions like this. Well worth the $5.

I don't consider mini 14's/30's black rifles, they are pure hunting/pest control, try to explain that to an anti however.

42,000 SKS's.... hmmm good thing im gunna go buy more at frontier arms tommorow.

I love my semi autos and I love my standard transmission. I also love my bolt action the same way I do love my semi autos but I never will be in love with auto trans...sorry just not my cup of whatever :D However, I do like your answer to a lib and I believe we never should be divided by the type of a gun. A gun is a gun. Antis know very well the power of divide and conquer. Don’t let them to fool any of us.
 
Right now the numbers are still expanding.

Especially with guns like the Swiss series and XCR, which technically ARE black/green guns.

Its not difficult to get the semi-auto/black gun or handgun owners to support the hunter/farmer/skeet shooter crowd, we ALL understand advancing shooting sports to all, and equal freedom to all the different shooting sports is paramount. However getting the majority of the previously stated groups to fully support and stand by guys like us, is a different story.

Most (if not ALL) the hunting/farmer/skeet types HERE are fully supportive of our rights, and I've seen it time and time again, but almost EVERY time I go to the range, my group gets a bunch of stink-eye looks or someone sneering "what the heck do ya need THOSE things for...." type comments, so we have a lot of work to really unite firearms owners as a whole.

They don't realize the black gun types are the FIRST line to go, once we're gone the anti's will not stop till ALL guns are gone. It reminds me of that article "The Tragic Proliferation of Sniper Rifles" stating guns like ".30-06, .30-30, 300 win Mag etc..." with "high power scopes" designed to kill people without them even seeing you etc... etc... "why do you need so much magnification..." They were describing the most basic hunting guns you can get.

And I will always tell that to guys, they will eventually come after his guns too.
 
When we are talking about black rifles, do we mean restricted? I don't know why a party would want to "grab" any kind of specific rifle, hunting or not, restricted or "black" or not. If I had an AR-15 and a Benelli R1 300win mag, then my AR is On the green parties list to be "grabbed" , while my Benelli is not?

We are talking about what the general public sees as an "assault rifle". Evil looking, in use by military. The stuff that will be gone if the wrong party wins an election.

For us we are talking about semi auto rifles except pure hunting guns.
 
Interestingly enough, the whole "military" firearm label is BS since almost every sporting firearm in existence is an adaptation of popular military technology past or present.
To name but a few examples,the majority of hunting rifles are based on the famous Mauser 98 action, courtesy of zee Germans. Rifled muskets: American civil war. Bows: Medieval warfare, the English longbow, the Mongols.
The general public and many politicians have no clue what they are talking about and spew senseless terms like "military style" and "assault". That is the real problem here.
Now how about the original rapid fire rifle, the Winchester lever action. If all the AR's and semi's were gone this would be next in line to be labeled as "assault" by uneducated fearmongering media.
These people fail to realize that the owners of AR based sporting rifles are about as likely to use them in a military manner as a bowhunter is to send flaming arrows into neighbourhood roofs.
