wondering how many of you go through times when you totally loose interest in hunting and shooting ? First time in decades its happen for me, just cant seem to find the spark again. Any ideas on how to find the interest again
Sometimes ya gotta spice it up a little,
It gets tough looking at the same old gun and thinking about the same old “hunting trips”, it’s just sitting around looking all worn in and tired. But you’ve got history and that’s to be expected.
It costs more to feed and take out as time goes on, but doesn’t perform any better.
Sure, sure you could go out and buy a new one (god knows you’ve looked), but can you really afford it?.
The cost to start over again: Gun, scope, ammo, reloading gear. Not to mention all the stuff to liquidate from the old one.
Best bet,
You can always try sparking the flame again with some new glass, fancy grips, maybe a slimmer stock?, sometimes even just a new sling can make you look at it from a different light.
Usually taking er’ for a nice long walk in the woods away from it all does it for me.
But seriously, these have been some pretty deflating times, don’t loose hope. Sometimes you just need a break.
Cheers,
