How many have a Big Bang gun?

With that mindset, all you really need is a TAU-7 air pistol. Because really you are just punching paper anyway!
There is too many persons like Wendy Cukier, and Mayor Miller, who think just like this outside our community.
They do not need any inside help.
:slap:
EDIT: My extent of enjoyment ceases at .44 Remington Magnum, but I support anyone's personal choice.
Who cares as long as they are safely handled?

Ouch! Did I say you couldn't own one? Did I say we shouldn't sell them or that we should ban them? Jeez, and people say I'm wound too tight?!?!? I just said they were fun and flashy not utilitarian. You wanna buy a ferarri to race between stop signs and sit in bumber to bumper traffic, by all means, do so. I never said otherwise and there's no need to put words in my mouth.

Allow me to be more clear : I wouldn't get one, because if our laws were reasonable and I could use a handgun for carry, self-defense, home defense and hunting, I would not personally choose any of these calibres because I believe there are better choices. You can have a 1" snub nose that shoots a 500 gain bullet with 1000 grains of powder behind it if you so choose. Call it want you want, it is your right to do so, but it is still a novelty at best. (except maybe hunting, where one big shot counts) The original post in this thread even suggested that the "big boom" was more fun ####s and giggles than anything else.

Contrary to your personal beliefs, not everyone who disagrees with you is a Wendy.

Thank you for bringing some clarity to your statement.

I only have a "mini" big bang => 10mm Auto

But it is in a 3" derringer....... :D

I have shot a DE 50 and a 500 S&W Performance Center and both are impressive. The nod goes to the S&W.

A friend's .30-06 pistol in an indoor 50-yd range was fun. (IIRC, a 14" barrel single shot by IMI). Recoil wasn't bad (certainly way less than all these big revolver cartridges). Muzzle blast and flash were impressive. Muzzle flip was severe and completely unstoppable; didn't seem to be a difference between firing it one-handed, or the firmest two-handed grip I could muster.

I'm working my way up the list of the 10 guns I want. The last one will be my big bang gun - a .50 BMG, the baddest gun you can buy. Sorry, it's not not a handgun.

The 45-70 sounds interesting. I'll have to talk to them next time there.... :D

The Casull and .460 are bad enough. Much like Odysseus of old I've taken to tying myself to the barrel of a .22 to avoid the siren's song that the 500 sings from the cabinet..... :D
