One of my most prized pair is my 2 Ruger 44 Mag carbines Deerstalker bought in the mid 60 ( bought by my godfather who kept them in boxes Brand new and gave them to me in the early 80 ) and unfired and are still unfired, those are very collectables and precious to me.

I may have to start buying 3 of every gun. My kids are starting to shoot and want guns just like Dad has.

Do multiples of 1911's count or do they need to be "exactly" the same? :)

NAA.

two Stock II here! and had many many Glock 17 and 2 of any pistol I was competing with at the moment.
Always a backup!

Currently:
Identical pairs would be:
FNH FNS9 (plus an FNS9L to make a total of three)
FNH FNS40L

Similar:
Ruger SR1911
Springfield Armory Loaded
Custom Norinco 1911 Sport

Ruger P89, P90, P91

CZ452 Style, Varmint and Scout

Russian SKS 1951 non-refurb, 52, 55 and 56

In the past, a pair each of SW 686s and Ruger GP100s, now just have singles.

I have identical CZ Shadowlines, one is my IPSC competition pistol, the other not only serves as a 'backup' or parts gun, but also wears a Kadet .22 kit so I can practice with the same IPSC belt/holster/pouch setup without bothering to change back and forth.

I have AR's setup the same, one is the main gun in .223 the other is a clone that pretty much keeps a .22lr bolt in it full time.
