How many of you have a pair of the same Firearm

75/85/SP-01 Series - 75B New Edition, 85 Combat, 75 Shadowline, SP-01 Shadow, Tanfoglio 5"
PPQ Match- Match Gun, PPQ 5" Back UP
1911's - Dlask Customized Norinco, Norinco 5", Norinco Commander
2 x Beretta 92A1, M9A1 Compact, Girsan 4.25"
GP-100 4.2" - Match Gun, S&W 686 105.4MM Back Up

The CZ/Tanfoglio are essentially the same gun with different features. All meet SSP Division requirements. So too, the Berettas and two revolvers. I am pretty average with all of them with little daylight between any of them in timed scoring. Aside from the PPQ, and Dlask all manage 1.25" groups at 15 yards off a bench. The PPQ Match and Dlask do 1" or less of the bench at that range. A M&P Pro deserves honourable mention. It's mate went to a friends wife.

IDPA now only requires a back -up gun to be legal for the division being shot so the need for exact duplicates now is not necessary.

All of the above are more capable than I.

Take Care

Bob

Does it count if you have the "same" firearm in two different chamberings, wearing the same optic?

Steyr Scout in .308 Winchester, and Steyr Dragoon Scout in .376 Steyr.

I know this section is about pistols and revolvers....but since moving back from the US, I no longer have "doubles" of handguns.

I have a pair of 4" S&W 29's. The first is my 'favorite' handgun and at present is 'wearing' a fairly rare set of S&W factory ivory magna grips. The second, a close twin and my only 'Safe Queen', is an Elmer Keith Commemorative.

Thanks very much! One is from 2014 (on the left) and the other from 2007. Serial numbers are 468 numbers apart and the one in 2014 is in the late 700's. The first one was made by Colt Custom Shop gunsmith designated as CCS2 and the second CCS3 (who now operates Evolution Armory). I bought the newer one on gunbroker and while I was importing it the other popped up on the exchange. I had at least another month worth of wait and was anxious to get my hands on one so I picked it up as well. I haven't fired the new one but have a few hundred rounds through the older one, actually had it out at the range yesterday, glad to say it shoots like a champ.

I have in the past had pairs of pistols for completion, but I don't really do that anymore (or never really did for that matter =) and haven't since then. I think it's worth while for guns where parts are either hard to get or not at all. I've since moved on and only get extremely durable firearms and or those with parts availability.

I do not know if I would call them pairs, but I have 2 Ruger Vaquero Bisley`s; one in 357 and one in 45 Colt. I also have a Shadow with adjustable iron sights, and a Shadowline with a Vortex Venom on it that will be mine soon (waiting on transfer). Did not plan to buy it, but shot a 4 shot group (threw one of the 5) at 50 meters smaller than what I shoot with my 357 92 Rossi with a Lyman peep sight so it had to come home with me.
