If you own more than 1 what lengths?
What type sights/optics do you run on each barrel length and why?
What range are you shooting at with each combo?

Just curious what everyone else is doing

Built number 1 this year. Short blaster 10.5 with kx5 in 12 in handguard and sparc ar. Exactly the look and feel I wanted but now I'm onto others

I'm kind of leaning towards one in every length just so I have a complete set lol

I have 3 currently.

Spikes tactical 16" that also as a second upper from spikes in .22lr. Have an Aimpoint pro to run with these.
CC sa17 c7a2 clone. Has elcan c79a2.
15.7 iur build still a work I progress. Would like to get one of those british CC sf 10.5" uppers to go with my iur build, but they were too rich for my budget new. Hopefully ones turns up used for a good price on the EE one day. Running an elcan specter 4x on this. It is already kinda heavy so I might get an aimpoint for it in the near future.

All 3 are used at 200 or less.

Down to my one now, sold the rest, just cannot part with this one, never has had a hiccup just shoots and is pretty accurate with 55 grain ammo.

Had her longer than my wife, bought this CAR15 over 25 years ago. :)

Had a original Colt scope and conversion kit. Was made a crazy offer on the .22 conversion kit and scope sold both as the conversion kit only had a 10 round mag and I was scared to ding the Colt scope. Just run a Chinese clone scope and a CMMG kit with 25 round mags now. Usually 50 yards.

I grab my bolt action .223 and head off the range to the wide open areas when I want to shoot out to 500 yards.

Amazed how many have never handled a short 11.5", light, simple old AR, with an 3 position all metal not plastic sliding stock, everyone loves shooting this old American rifle. :)

No it is an early Stop Sign stamped CAR-15 from SWG, before they started having problems.

Paid $1200.00 for the rifle complete with a Colt scope, and Colt conversion kit.

Many hate the SWGs, but this one has the right tolerances and just functions and shoots really accurate. The serial number says it was a US Pre Ban and it is stamped 5.56 on the barrel and was not a parts gun of mismatched parts. All I know is it has always shot well and have surprised many Colt 20" shooters. :)

Yeah i could see myself collecting up to seven as well. Changing out optics, triggers, muzzle comps - you'll have a different rifle. It's why the AR is my favorite rifle.
I've had 3, but now down to 2. They're both guns i want to bring to the range with me on each outing
