I have had a few over the years, have two at the moment (I think, maybe three). Still looking for a decent Ruger #1 Int in this caliber. Also have a 7x57 AI on a 98 Mauser, now that I think of it. - dan
Why do some believe a 6.5x55 is so much better than a 7x57?
How is your son doing? I haven't talked to him in a while. Can I get his phone #?I've given both my sons 7x57s, one has a Ruger 77, the other a Bruno full stock. Both shoot well & are great on game. A very overlooked cartridge.
Not as much action on this threa as I expected.
2) RIGBY Mauser, model III (special lightweight) for the .275 Rigby High Velocity round. c,1929
Fair enough Noel, same ol pics though, sorry.

I've never held a M.1924 (that I know of anyway). They are a very fine rifle, remember drooling on a MS at the gun shop I worked at 17 years ago.
Can I take both?
Why not?
I've had 3 Brno 21H's and 3 M-S and I would have to say the M-S is a far more refined piece. Not even comparable really. That Rigby though...or an Oberndorf...*drool*...
Tough choice!
well not a hunting rd but I have a 7x57 in Belgian fn 49 and I like the round if it wasnt restricted I would use it for hunting
