How many rounds per hour with Lee setup

Once you get really good at it, mabey 50 in an hour.........and that's if you are loading like you are in a race.
Case prep is the slowest step, loading is a breeze once the cases are sized, trimmed, primer pockets cleaned and then primed. It only takes a few seconds to charge with powder and seat a bullet.......:)

I have dones as many as 200 cases per hr loadinfg 22 Hornets.I had the cases all prepped so it was just a matter of charging the cases with powder and pushin home the bullets. I had 3000 of them to load so you get kinda quick at it when there are that many to do.

I use a Lee turret press for loading rifle cartridges. I use it without the auto-indexing thing installed so the turret has to worked by hand. After prepping, priming and charging the cases, I can do a quick two-step for each cartridge with bullet seating and crimping as opposed to seating all the bullets then switching dies then crimping all the cases. The turret press is great because you can keep various calibres of dies all racked up and ready to go on a moment's notice.

I suggest you forget about speed. It's a good way to get a blown up gun.

When loading the hornets the case is almost full of powder so doin a double charge is impossible when using the 4198 powder.Everything is done left to right so I am not to worried about blowing anything up, me or a gun !!!!!!!!1

not sure what press comes with anniversary kit… I have a Challenger press and I earlier today I did 100 rounds of 9mm that included; priming (with Ram prime), expanding/charging (I use a LEE Auto disk) and seating bullets, it all took me 65 min.

Double charging is not the only way to blow a gun up. No powder is an excellent way to do it and rushing or getting distracted during the loading process is an excellent way to miss adding the powder.

Like someone said previously, FORGET ABOUT THE SPEED when loading rifle rounds.

On my Lee Turret press, loading pistol ammo with the auto index I can do about 200 rounds an hour. I never bothered to check how long it takes to load rifle rounds as they sually take more than a couple of sittings to get done and then I rarely load huge volumes at any one time anyway.

It's funny, but some of the best pistol ammo I've loaded was on my turret press. I think it's because when you're using the press, the turret spins around rather than the shellholder, so the powder measure gets shaken up well so it loads up the powder measure cavity well. I had the occasional undercharged case (enough powder to get the bullet out of the barrel, but with enough of a difference to make me think "wtf?" when it goes pop instead of BANG!) with my Pro 1000, but never with my turret press. It usually happens with the Pro 1000 when I'm loading a really small amount of powder in the case, like 4 grains of Clays or something like that. Higher volume powders like Trail Boss or H110 work great.

try the turret press. with small cases like the hornet the lee powder measue that comes with the kit will work perfect. its designed for pistol charges. high volume is possible once your familiar with the set up. although i rather slow down and make sure my reloads are the best possible.
