I'm gonna put out 3 this year. We have a logging cut near the camp. It was select cut the the last 2 years. I'm gonna put 2 in that cut. And one at the edge of a clear cut.

no more of them...im getting to old and fat to climb in them..
btw... Dave what you setting them up for? moose or deer?or both

Just for bambi! This one cut looks like a honey hole. I'm gonna put one facing N-S, and the other E-W so I will have an option no matter which way the wind is blowing. Then :50cal:

There is no such thing as too many tree stands!

On my main bow hunting property (we do not own the land, just have landowner permission) my partner and I have four permanent stands and generally hang one or two portables depending on what we are seeing.

At my hunt camp we have a half-dozen permanent stands and as we learn the place better, that number will increase. There are at least a dozen old stands from previous owners, which do provide a clue to where they used to hunt - although the land is now mostly flooded by the *$#(&#$@ beavers, so old deer trails are no longer used.

I like to have options for days when the wind is not from the prevailing direction, and that usually means at least four stands.

In my bush I only allow the guys to put up one each. We have ground blinds near the front of the bush for the Johnny-come-latelies. There are so many deer around we dont need more. We usually fill all our tags every year.
