Crack said:Oh man. This is a good one. I got into some wierdness a few years ago about this. I called Canada Customs and they advised me that I could bring back up to 5000 rounds of any type or combo there of, as long as I did not exceed 5000 rounds. I went to Watertown and bought 200 rounds of 9mm and 200 of .45. It was all cool until I told the custom's people on the Canadian side of the border what I had purchased. They emptied my car and kept me there for almost three hours, only to tell me that "they wanted to make sure I hadn't brought back any guns". Arseholes! Anyway I vowed to go back and do it again out of spite, however I have since found out from talking to people on this site and from doing research on the WWW, that according to American law, it's a federal offence to leave the country with ammo. You can buy it there but you have to use it there. Now that being said I really don't know how they'd catch you, and I have still considered doing it again from time to time, but it would be a s**tty risk I guess if you're caught. The ammo is soooo cheap though.

And they bloody ripped my car apart, gave me a hard time for having a tool box in my trunk and a case of molson canadian. they ripped the door panels and back seats out and and then just threw them in the back and said leave when they didn't find anything. Bastards!
So I wouldn't screw around with those guys!
Just my 2 cents anyway
