How much do you have invested?

I shoot IPSC and Steel challenge. My main pistol, holster, pouches ect was around $4800.
Not bad really! Cause i'm not even going to try and figure out what i spend on travel and ammo. Then there's hunting season.........:)

Honestly if i can remember since i got my pal i think it would be something like this .

250$ for Non restricted pal and restricted pal (restricted challenged)
80$ for license fees and whatnot after sending my paperwork away
165$ for membership fees
675.00 for my smith and wesson m&p.40
45.00 for an extra magazine
475.00 for my norinco M14-S
75.00 for 2 extra magazines
65-70.00 for my hunting education course
65.00 for my black badge course (i think)
35.00 for my bladetech holster
14.00 for a simple velcro magazine holder
15.00 for surplus FN FAL double mag pouch
20.00 for simple 2" tactical/pistol belt
112.00 for my molle vest
15.00 for a cheap secondary holster
45.00 for a spectre gear 3 point sling
45.00 for a simple red dot sight

Various rounds of ammunition probably in the neighborhood of 600.00

This has been the approximate tally since april 21st 2010

Who cares...?
It's just money....
We all have our vices...
Hardware isn't the largest expense... Presently in Pa. USA blowing cash left right and centre on shooting another three gun match.
Hotel/fuel/food/beer...
Hell... Bought a new F150 this year just to haul gear...

I don't want to know what I spend on this nonsense...

I know what I have spent in the last decade is far more than they are insured for...

Figure an average of $0.30 a round downrange from reloading and I'm already at recorded 22,600 rounds (.22 Not included) for the last several years...

I'm a Cowboy shooter, and I make my own leather, and I'm patient and wait for bargains, so:
Ruger Vaquero. 45LC 4 5/8" Stainless - $150
Ruger Vaquero. 45LC 4 5/8" Blued - $400
I did my own action jobs (info readily available on net) but had to buy 2 sets of lighter springs for them (about $60)
Stoeger Coach gun $225 -action job by gunsmith $225
Marlin 1894 .45 LC- $600 - did the action job myself, but lighter springs and one pc firing pin about $50
Grand total, about $1650 for main match guns. About $75 worth of leather to make
holsters,etc
Already had the hat, boots, scarf, etc. I've been dressing this way for years. Probably why I chose this sport. Don't have to change my clothes. There you have it. The misers method. (Although the first time I outfitted, it was with Ruger Blackhawks @ about $200 each, a Marlin 1894 in .357/38 @ about $300 and a Stevens 311 double for $125. Still did the action jobs and made my own leather. Sub $1000. Top that

"did my wife put you up to this" haha i love it. i'm not married yet (thankfully) but as far as my woman knows my tuned 1911 ran me around 350$ and ammo is basically free because i reload. hahaha

NOT at MY limit yet

x2, Once upon a time in a fantasy world far away, I was sure that I had enough for the 4 different shooting disciplines and side matches that I wanted to compete in on an annual basis. Not only did I run myself ragged but I realize that I always have to "tweek" my match guns............

It never ends!!

Cowboy Action

Used Sauer & Sohn .357 - $325
Pietta 1873 .357 - $525
Rossi Puma 92 .357 - $550
IGA Coach Gun Supreme - $450
Hat #1 - $40
Suspenders $20
Used boots, $5 - (fit perfectly but pretty ugly)
Thrift Store Vest - $2
Enough leather and tools to make two holsters and a belt - $300?

Totals about $2200 (give a father of three a break :( )

Gonna spend another $150 to upgrade hat, pants and suspenders this year, then it's all reloads, shotgun shells and travel.
May look into spending about $500 for two used Cap and Ball 36s next year.
