How much interest in a Canadian limited edition Ruger No.1?

guys, just a quick update; lots more orders now. i think we've got plenty now to get things going. once i hear from ruger, if they give us the go ahead, I'll get deposits. I'm very optimistic at this point, we really just need Ruger to give us the go ahead.

Have we got a final model configuration yet?

What's the time line Ruger gives on this sort of thing? I'd like to have it by Christmas. ;)

No configuration yet-not because I don't have an idea yet which would sell best; its because I want to hear from Ruger first; ie, prices, technical suggstions, etc.

We'll have them to you before Christmas. No worries...

only question is really; Which Christmas!? ;)

Perhaps one thing to be specific on regardless of final model choice would exactly what twist the barrels will be made in as I'm certain that would be an important concern to many of us, especially if a long heavy bullet is to be used as well as lighter ones....

Some day I will buy a Ruger #1 but I have no interest in a Canadian limited edition example, if they even consented to manufacture one.

Wll at least we know which side of the fence your on.

Geez fellas don't get all squidgy on me.... Just because I personally wouldn't want one doesn't mean I would begrudge any of those who do. Maybe I'm wrong but I don't see anything to tempt me more to buy a Ruger #1 if there was to be a limited edition Canadian example.

Forgive my ignorance here. I love the idea of a .303 brit canadian rifle in limited production, with special canadian serial # hitting the market. I would love a nice compact, iron sighted, basic rifle in a single shot. BUT what makes this worth $1,200? Seems like a hell of a lot of dough to me.

That is pretty much how much they cost, even for a regular production version.

Even a plain ole Remington or Winchester is going to cost clost to $1K and there are plenty factory rifles out there for more..

No maybe about it, you ARE wrong!

Don'tcha know you have to buy one just cuz everyone else is getting one, even if you don't like it.
