Haha I wouldn't pay money for a 308 vz58, it's a stupid idea. Get an m305 shorty from Wolverine and drop a pistol grip on it, blammo you just got your gun for less than $700.00 and it will be more reliable

The VZ58 only makes sense for low recoil cartridges. If it were in 308 it would kick like a mule, and the factory folder would start hurting after 60 shots

Not all of us want chinese made garbage.

Sounds a little snobbish to me. The M305 is one of the best buys on our market. There are hundreds of thousands of Americans that would buy Norinco M14's at twice the price if they could. Even at their current price and one and a half times the weight of a CZ, they are great buys.

BS, i have personaly owned 2 (out of 2) m305 that have :bigHug::bigHug::bigHug::bigHug: the bed, the first one blew up the second one required $800 in parts to get shooting strait making it a $1300 rifle. A third one my friend has left in my care I have dropped $100 so far to tune up so it hits an "acceptable" 4" group at 100m... thats worse then my SKS. What other gun on the market requires you to "tune" AKA rebuild it right from the factory? even the "good" ones are not much better usualy requiring shims, some file work and possibly a barrel tweak. Only my chinise weapons ever seem to have these kind of issues, its why I have an LRB build on the way for next year (barrel has already been made just waiting on the reciever and assembly)

If this gun came out for under $1000 I would start looking at buying one, the CZ/CSA rifles are a piece of quility kit.

The Vz is a totally different type of fruit than the M305 - it's light, fast handling and efficient. It also doesn't rely on black magic to shoot accurately. Did I mention it's light - I don't know how I used to hike with an M14.

Nice, but it would need inline stock. It snaps already in x39.

I dunno. Granted, if you were shooting it all day an inline stock would be a life saver but I put 30 through a friend's Saiga and it didn't both me with the limbsaver on it. While it's not the same action, the stock and firing position were the same and the little rubber limbsaver did the trick.

And hey guys, why fight against the usefulness of a .308 VZ/CZ? It's another gun to be loathed by liberals and undoubtedly enjoyed by us! It's not really competing with the M305, just adding an extra rung in the ladder between it and the higher cost options.

Why all the hate on the norc! I have a cz858 and a m305 and both are awesome! Both are bone stock and run like champs. I guess its possible that's I'm just lucky that my norc shoots under 3 inches at 100 but still even at 6 inches I'd be happy with it but I do have to admit I fondle my CZ just a little bit more haha as far as the topic goes I'll be keeping my cz in 7.62X39!!

In 308 would be awesome, i would prefer CSA making it though!

I think CSA was the only manufacturer that has been approached regarding the 308 VZ and they said they could do it if the order is large enough to justify re-tooling - good times ahead! I also saw in the 'preferred calibers' thread that 308 still reigns supreme as the most desirable caliber, which will hopefully lend favour to our struggle ha ha.

Some folks find it fashionable to hate on anything Chinese because it's "obviously" inferior. Yet they happily post their tripe here using a computer whose entire components were almost exclusively manufactured there, along with a host of other things they own but they are either too ignorant to know that or just play ostrich because no one considers an iPhone to be "Chinese". They probably got beat up by Asians in high school or something.

Laugh2 Some funny stuff right there.

Sometimes there are no non chinese options but with guns there are. Not all of us want inferior quality to save a buck.

I mostly dislike chinese made stuff because it's made by companies that treat their workers like dirt, pollute without any regard whatsoever to the environment and run on a system based on corruption and screwing everyone else for 25C.

Do I use chinese stuff? Yes I do. Do I do so when I have a choice? No. Here I have a choice to buy, or indeed cause a product to be manufactured outside of china, so I will push for it. Will I pay more? Yes. Will I be ok with that? Definitely.

Like it or not, that system is what enables first world countries to live as decadently as we do. Get used to it.
