How NOT to fire a pistol grip shotgun. VIDEO

LOL , sorry but that was just stupid, I was about to feel bad for him but decided, nope, he deserved it. At least this way, he won't make that same mistake again.

Seriously, just what was he thinking, and if that was at a club, he just got kicked for unsafe handling, and no control of the muzzle direction..etc etc.

Bah - you just have to keep a good grip on it and don't hold it so close to your face. I used to shoot one like that on a regular basis when blasting poisonous snakes in my pond back when I lived in Texas. All I had for the job was a pistol grip mossberg, and you can't aim at a snake 30 yards out if you don't look down the barrel. If you've got a good grip on it (and aren't a pansy), it won't come back at you more than a couple of inches, which is plenty to keep it out of your teeth (I still have all mine to prove it).

Too bad for the guy in the video - he both held it too close, and didn't keep a good grip on it.

Sorry if this is a repost, it was new to me.

You just know what is going to happen as soon as he takes aim.
i have 2 friends that have a moustace to hide the scar
from fireing a pistol grip 12 gauge. i have a moss 500
that i fire like all the time and so does my son. the important thing to remember is u don't buy one pistol grip
u buy 2. u put one one the front too. that way u lock your
arm straight on the front grip and no pain at all . u can shoot like this all day with no pain to your hand and arm.

The first time out with my Norinco 14" HP9-1 (Rem 870 action) 12-gauge, I tried it one handed with el-cheapo 100-pack 2 3/4" field/target loads. It was rough but manageable.

Then I tried it with a 3" Slug. Blew the thing clean out of my hand and hurt like hell.

Stupid? You bet! Could have broke my finger, my wrist, etc.

But I had to know :p
