How often/many times have you detail stripped the frame on your Glock 17/22?

This question is specifically for Glock 17/19/22's...

I have read that the locking block pin can get loose if you detail strip your frame too many times, since that pin depends on the tension of the holes in the frame to keep in snug. Has anyone experienced this?

How often or how many times have you guys detail stripped your Glock frames (Whether you detail stripped to clean, for practise, or were constantly swapping out parts) and have they loosened or are the locking block pins still nice and snug?

Just once to install new trigger and 3.5 lb connector. So can`t really help you with the question but they were as snug as ever.
 
Per Thad's response, I've done it once to install the 3.5lb connector and to say I did it, but after 8K+ rounds down range, I just use a cleaner, brush and rags/air.
 
I have only done it twice. I don't see the need for it as you need to fire a lot of rds for everything to get so dirty that it needs to be cleaned. I can't see how you would wear out the holes if you are careful (i.e. use a proper punch and not something modified to work).
 
The pistols used on a Glock armourer's course seemed to still have a reasonable amount of tension. Now, having said that, I don't think they get fired all that often, so I don't know if the pins would work loose. But as far as handling them and disassembling them, they seemed okay.
 
I believe as with anything, if it works don't fix it.
Any machine parts that you disasemble and reassemble increase the chance of failure unless your certified on that machine. I went with Glocks again because of there reliability and ease of cleaning. There is many a story of someone tinkering around to much and causing failures at the range and when needed for service(working). Hope that helps..Just love your Glock for what it is, no need to understand all its inner workings...LOL
 
Complete tear down atleast once a year, sometimes twice. Been doing it this way since I got the pistol 6 years ago. No issues with loose pins. Remember to use the appropriate sized punch and you shouldn't have problems.

Oh yeah, in the 6 years I've had it the pistol has seen around 21,000 rounds. The internals are still as tight as day one. With the exception of the trigger which has gotten progressively smoother.

I would say I've done it alteast 10 times. I have detailed it more than twice a year. My estimate of twice a year is probably conservative, however I do know it has been done atleast twice a year. I used to do it more often(in the early years of ownership) but found it made no real difference. The amount of grime that accumulates is nothing to worry about more than once or twice a year. Hence why I've resorted to the frequency I have for the last 3 years, give or take.

You don't have to detail strip to clean the entire pistol. A good blast with break cleaner will remove most of the hidden grime. I'm kind of anal and prefer to spend hours detail cleaning the insides a couple times a year.

Yes. When I mean detail strip I mean removing all 35 pieces(including magazine components) and cleaning them all. If it can be pushed, pulled, or punched out it is. The only parts I don't remove are the sights. No need to remove them unless you wish to replace them. They get wiped down with some soap and water as opposed to solvents.
