how popular is the 92fs?

My Girsan has been great so far, about 500 rounds of everything from weak stinky lead reloads to psycho flame spewing handloads. The only problem with mine has been the walking extractor pin.

I can only assume your Beretta is going to be a treat!

What I like best is how easy it is to disassemble them for cleaning. As for shooting my S&W 659 farts in its general direction.

Haha, I hope I don't have issues with the Beretta. I didn't do a whole lot of research before I bought it, but it was such a good deal, it was hard to pass up (I think I say that with just about anything I come across on EE, haha!). Disassembly was a cinch, but I'm worried about the detail strip. I got pretty comfortable with my 1911, but I don't know if my old brain can learn the internals of another platform.

Is there a Beretta/Girsan/Taurus thread? We should all be able to post our pics somewhere and not have people trash on them just because it's a different brand. I mean, we're all here to learn about and appreciate different firearms right?

Here's what I got in the mail today thanks to a really solid CGNer. My wallet and my wife hates EE, haha!

Very nice! I've always liked Beretta 92's. My first pistol was a Beretta and I'm very happy the Turks make an inexpensive clone.

Yep, that's how I feel about my Norcs. I've got a "brand name" 1911, but at the same time, I still like my Norcs. For the price of my Remgton R1, I was able to buy two Norcs + ammo.
