Apparently the title does not, "say it all"The first thing I thought of was a rifle and not ammo. Funny how this question can be directed into different directions being so vague.

Phhhtttt ..... why limit yourself to 20 years? Go back 40 or 50 years and really make a killing.Build a time machine, travel back in time about twenty years. Buy it cheap, stack it deep.
Shooting is not cheap. Maybe the OP should take up knitting instead.rifles are not cheap ...
title says it all
yarn is more money than buying a finished sweater.Shooting is not cheap. Maybe the OP should take up knitting instead.![]()
I see the title has been revised because there's one important word that wasn't there originally. "ammo"Apparently the title does not, "say it all"![]()
Why so serious? For kamlooky and NZClaybuster, I sure hope you two aren't serious with what you both posted. Only scum would be going after widows after their husbands have passed to find out what firearms they had and probably offer low ball prices. I've dealt with these types before with firearms and fishing equipment.

This! The question "Where do I buy blah, blah, blah as cheap as possible?" is just silly. You buy anything at the best price by being alert and aware, and by moving quickly when you do find a deal. I bought almost 5 full cases of milsurp...2x 7.62x51 SAfrican and 3x corrosive 7.62x39...by stopping when I passed a garage/yard sale recently. Recent widow, cleaning out before moving into an apartment, assisted by her adult children. They were desperate to get rid of the stuff; acted like it was nuclear waste. I got it all for less than $100, and that was more than she was asking. Got the impression that the kids wanted it gone and didn't enjoy dealing with the sort of person who they needed to achieve that goal. They had one open case on the ground under one of the tables, the rest squirreled away in the garage. No price on it, I had to ask.Ohh yeah, don’t furrgit dah oh bityewarries.
Attend the funeral.
Find the gal closest to the caskitt.
Follow’err’ome.
Plan yer attack.
Don’t furgit tuh asker ware she hid dem gawl dang bolts.
