How to deactivate a muzzle loader?

Some of what the RCMP posts (deactivation guidelines, high capacity 10/22 magazines, etc.), goes overboard. But the problem is fighting it.

for the time being, buying a replica is not an option. Trudeau has banned the transfer of handguns

I don't think "TC Mountain Carbine" is a handgun? Also I don't think replicas are guns at all? I'm thinking things like those guns Canada Ammo had a few years ago that didn't have the flash hole drilled... was no PAL needed to buy those...

Military Heritage sells some really nice display flintlocks.

h ttps://www.militaryheritage.com/muskets.htm

And they ship with NO vent hole. Making them legally not a firearm and not subject to restrictions.

Do the same thing to a future Wall hanger. Just fill in (weld) up the vent hole.

"We sell historically accurate muskets and pistols in a non-firing state for demonstration purposes. This allows us to comply with various local, state, national and international firearms regulations, along with shipping company policy restrictions. This means the product comes right to your doorstep. A certified gunsmith may decide to alter a musket or pistol to a firing state by drilling the vent hole and test firing it."

I have a TC Mountain Carbine that i think i am going to make into a wall ornament.

I have done some searching, but is there anything that needs to be done to display a muzzle loader to ensure it is legal?
I am not finding any answers
Thanks
I have been following this thread out of curiosity. If it is a cap lock, just squeeze the nipple closed. You COULD just remove the nipple but then the hammer would not sit in the proper position and would look goofy. If it is a flint, remove the rock and replace with a piece of wood or plastic shaped like a flint, OR, as a few have suggested, just put it on the wall.

I thought that I had deleted that post, because I realized almost immediately we were talking about a rifle. Fingers were faster than the brain

Is there a demand for MLs among criminals? Any stats on MLs being used in suicides or even accidents at homes? How many stolen firearms are MLs? I follow the law but this is going overboard.
