But burning it is so much fun!
I like to go to the airport and sprinkle it on people's bags.
All utilities still worked after lol? Some years ago I was given about a 1/4 pound of 3F black powder that was supposedly a mix of Goex & an unknown brand. I decided against doing any reloading with it & it sat for a number of years in my powder locker.
One summer I had a huge ant hill appear in my back lawn, I tried Raid & other ant killers but nothing seemed to get rid of them.
On a very hot day the ants were very active & the tunnels were well exposed. I decided to experiment with my unwanted black powder I carefully poured it into several tunnels & stomped on the ground for a while to ensure that it was all well contained in the ground. I then took some unwanted WW231 powder & poured that over the area & left a trail of it about 3 feet long.
I then lit the smokeless powder & stepped back to a safe distance. There was a hissing noise as the 231 burned & then a deep"Whump"noise when the BP ignited. The sod lifted about 8 inches & smoke poured out of the ants nest. There were no ants to be seen & I have not had a problem with them since giving the little bastards the gun powder treatment.

You tape a full pound of tannerite to it and then shoot it.
