This gorgeous rifle is coming up for sale soon at our store.

Let us know in the comments what you think of this beauty.

The rifle is an original Springfield 1903. It has been completely redone, re-blued and wood refinished.

This rifle was professionally refinished by Nick Kaikkonen at Vulcan Gun Refinishing

The scope is a reproduction of the 8-power Unertl scope as used by the USMC during WW2 (except Marines didn't use the recoil spring)

Here is an excellent video explaining this rifle and the US Army version which is significantly different in several ways:

Non matching numbers, reproduction scope, refinished bluing and stock….

Good luck getting $5000 for that mix matched refurb.
I am curious to know where people are finding the same thing for less $$ ? There are a couple recent auctions at Rock Island Auction Co, one is fully authentic and original USMC provenance that sold for at least $12000 USD and also a "put together one" like the one we are promoting, it was an original military 1903A1 that was refinished and then a reproduction scope mounted; that one sold for at least $4000 USD

I appreciate that many people are saying this price is too high, but where are the cheaper ones?

Its not that there are cheaper ones, Its that there is no real collector value in a gun that is not matching parts and a repro scope. You are comparing guns with serious collector value to something with little to none of it. The lack of matching parts really hurts the value.

Looking at google, it appears the scope is only worth about $550usd, so $750-800CAD. That means the rifle is being priced at over $4k, which seems to be about 4x what the rifle is worth judging by prices I'm seeing in places like Gun Broker.
