**Huge CGN .264 Bullet Test Result** (lots of pics!)

Thanks for the hard work you did here. I'm surprised that you didn't try the 120 GMX considering how well it did in the .375 testing.

My .375 test did prompt me to buy two boxes of 120 gr GMX but I couldn’t come up with an accurate load in my Kimber, maybe I’ll try them in my Remington. Either way, next time I do a wet newspaper bullet test, I’ll slip one in for comparison and add it to the test.

I was being a bit self-serving, in that, I have 10 boxes of the 120 GMX for my M77 MKII 6.5X55 and KM77 MKII 260.... lol.

I was looking through old reloading threads and found this one. Wow! Incredible work BC Steve! Thank you for the supreme effort, and for reposting the images after the original links were cut. Many years later your work continues to serve the community. So far I have only used my .260 Rem for target shooting paper and steel, but if I ever use it for hunting I have this awesome resource of data to use. Thank you!

And thank you to Quaid for making the table view (pg 32).

And thank you to CGN for making it a sticky so it was easy to find.

My hunting partner told me about wet news paper test. At the barnet range in Burnaby BC there was a member who had everyone collecting their game bullets and facts. Wet newspaper test comes close to flesh and bone. Great work BCSteve.

What comes closer and is almost identical to a shot through a rib or the scapula, is to include a piece 5mm Fir plywood between the pages appx 3cm in.

That's about as close as you're going to get.

If you want to simulate larger bone, along with wet newspaper, such as a shoulder joint shot, go to your local butcher and purchase one of the shoulders he's deboned for stew and hamburger meat. Usually they will just give them to you.
