Beautiful bird and picture.

LOL. I have a flock that have been hanging around the farm for 10 years now. The babies are funny to see with their long legs not grown into yet. I won't harvest them here, but when I'm out hunting they are a great food.

I had a flock that would hang out here regularly. One day I decided to take a few, once I did that they never came back around for two or three years. Three I think looking back on it now.

Lots around here this year. There is a half dozen different flocks where I walk the dogs so they have lots of fun looking for them daily. This is the first year I have actually went on a hunt for them specifically but it certainly won't be the last. They are challenging little targets to shoot and very tasty.

Last time I hunted in Saskatchewan, 2024, we were absolutely covered up in Huns. Sharptails were down a fair amount, but the Huns were everywhere and they kept us pretty honest. Best population of Huns that I have ever seen out there.

We have them in our yard almost daily. The pics are taken from my living room window. Nearest I can tell we are visited by three coveys. A covey of 8, another of 11 and a covey of 12. Considering as far north as we are isn't really known yo be great for them the past few dry years has really brought about a population explosion of them. I see lots of flocks while scouting.

Great pictures ,thanks for posting.

Lots of Huns where I am. The last time I fired my Dad's old Tobin double was to bring down two Huns near Willow Bunch, while hunting with my old Metis friend. Over the last 60 years, I seen the Hun population grow in my home area, east of Regina.
