Hunter killed by wild boar

Do boars attack in groups if one of them is injured? Seems like that would be an awful way to go.

I have friends that hunt them in Pennsylvania farm country. The sounders are very unpredictable,but,usually they scatter at the sound of gun fire,regroup and will circle around down wind to what scared them. That's when hunters really need to be aware of their surroundings. Make no mistake. Those animals are fearless,vicious and smart.
 
Hogman advises -

"You can see in the illustration that the heart and lungs are just above the shoulder. Experienced deer hunters might go for a lung shot and end up hitting nothing but gut on a feral hog. Not good."

That would be a typo. Should read below the shoulder.

Obviously critical to shoot these buggers properly. And accurately. Where can an individual learn to shoot accurately?

 
The spine shot worked well for me. She didn't move an inch. Here is shot of the exit wound.
