hunting bigfoot

This !
Yep, odds are its an idiot in an ape suit .. not something you want to shoot ( even if he is an idiot )
.. not to say there isn’t or is a real bigfoot out there...possibly

Well, even if Bigfoot does exist, if you do end up shooting one it's more likely to be a guy in a Bigfoot costume you've just killed.

OWL?!? What?!? But as far as a large bipedal ape living in Canada, even in BC, which isn’t as remote as many think it really is, I think most here fail to recognize the amount of human human activity in the backcountry today and over the last few century’s be it mining, surveyors, biologists, fishermen, hunting, hikers, pilots, loggers, tree planters, mushroom pickers etc on and on and on. Even without today’s advancements during the many gold rushes, every ####in valley and drainage from California to the Yukon was poked and prodded. There is no way a population big enough, genetically diverse enough with that high of caloric needs would remain completely hidden. Yet after hundreds of years of people in the back country NOTHING beyond story’s or very suspicious “lost” specimens has ever been found, no bones, no den, no fur, no sign of anything. Yet we are able to find these things left from very rare and elusive animals many times smaller in these same areas.

Well said.
And the fact that there are millions of trail cameras out there that never catch one. 100 years ago I’d be a believer but not today

This is the most logical explanation. Makes the most sense.

But if we were to play the "what if" game-

What if there was a creature that had the same intelligence as a human but also the same physical abilities as a bear? And what if that very intelligent and physically capable creature didn't want humans to see him? And what if he took pains to dispose of the remains of his deceased brethren in an effort to avoid human contact?

There are many animals that live and die without ever being seen by a human. As well, there have been many humans through history that have decided to "disappear" into the wilderness and only viewed by other humans on rare occasion, usually because they were in need of food or shelter. Imagine a human intelligent creature that had no need to seek these things because he could live off the same food and use the same shelter as a wild animal.

While still very unlikely, when looked at it from this perspective it opens up a possibility.

Hell, most wild animals don't want any part of humans and I can't really blame them. :)

They are dimensional creatures - that happen to come into our World - have you ever had a lucid dream where you were back in the olden days? Chuck wagon and seen people of that era have you ever thought that they seen you and couldn't figure you out?

Spoke to some elder members of the camp tonight as were preparing for bear hunts in the coming weeks .talk got around strange things and an older member told me of a hunt camp member that quit hunting while he was on stand. This was before my time in the 70s.aparently they were going out for a deer drive by the swamps as there was no sign of wildlife while on stands.they stringed 5 hunters around the swamps and three doggers went in a line and as they aproached a stander the stander would join the dogger making it a wider and tighter net. One of the standers was but on a huge rock where he could see the clearing in the swamp. When the dogger reached where the dropped of the stander he was not there . He called out thinking he had gone for a dump and no answer so the dogger thinking he left his stand continued till the end of the drive. When not there they all walked to camp and the standers truck and gear were gone .the nearest phone booth was about 1 1/2 hours away .they called to make sure he arrived safely near dinnertime and the stander had just gotten home and answered.they asked why he left and he said he didntwant to talk about it. After the trip my friend tried calling him and the guy refused to talk about it and said he quit fishing and hunting in the woods.another member went to visit him and cameby my friends shop with a winchester 3030 , a 303 brit rifle and an old winnie shotgun and said pic one.my bud asked what happened and he said the owner saw something and didnt want to talk about it and gave his guns to be spread out to each member as he quit hunting and just wanted to be left alone for a while. Some of the people in this group are well known in there field of work so my bud told me to omit all names.
Take it as it is ,what would make someone just flat out abandoneverything.
my bud said that speculation between other members made everyone off and many switched to 300 mags and 338s

I would speculate he seen either a tic tac or big foot

I guess this thread is kind of good example of the downside of the internet.

Mention of ghosts, UFOs, or this strange subject is some kind of license for ridicule that the joker rarely suffers in a face to face interaction.

Much like a mob mentality.

Well, people that said they saw UFO's in the past were said to have eaten too much LSD. Now the Pentagon says UFO's exist. :)
