Hunting rifle w rmovable mag.

Parker Hale safari 1200c (C stands for clip). I have one in 30-06. Brought it out today to sight it in. It put 2 rounds touching each other at 100 yards. Cost me all of 450 bucks.
Watch the EE for one and you won't be disappointed.

Clip is the type of magazine it is. Lets see..

-Internal box type magazine
-Tubular type magazine
-Clip type magazine

Parker Hale refers to it as a Clip type Magazine because that is what it does it "clips" into place. So calling it a "Clip" is not wrong just an abbreviation ;)

That wiki article is full of mistakes. As are most Wiki articles.

But I notice that nobody ever calls it a "Lee magazine", yet that is what it is.

Mausers are called Mausers, Mannlichers are called Mannlichers, even Tikkas are called Tikkas most of the time..... but a "Lee" is called something else, anything else, just not what it is. Even the impractical Mannlicher magazine is given its name and the hard-to-service Mauser magazine has its name, but the immensely practical and universal Lee magazine always seems to be something else.

Is it just my imagination, or do Canadians always treat their geniuses this way? Even the Garand rifle is criticised for its silly clip-loading, yet Garand designed the RIFLE and that silly clip was designed by PEDERSON. But it's still a "Garand clip" and people criticise Garand for using it instead of criticising the Government Committee which mandated the thing.

Oh, well.....

Have fun!

Who gives a rats ass about what you call it,clip, magizine, thingie that holds the shells. We know what is ment & that works. Some manufatures use both, so we can too. Now back to the rifle. A Savage Edge at 280 +t&s, a Vangard at 500+t&s will work for a first rifle.

My, my!

Now isn't that just the most polite attitude you have ever encountered?

Good thing you're not asking for help; I just might forget.

Do you mean a Savvy and a Vanny? After all, nobody cares.....
