Hunting scope under 700 dollars

This looks very interesting to me. Do you own one? I never knew anyone that ran a hawke optic before. How tactile are the turrets? How is the glass clarity compared to other scopes you have used and how is the illumination do you get lots of light ring at very low light?
I dont own any personally, I have shot a friends 270 with one on it. The glass is similar to the Vipers, warranty is a no questions asked. The illumination has different levels of brightness so should work good for low light. The turrets I like as the click sounds is very prominent Prophet River has the Hawke in stock right now for 849.

Right .... Also the OP is talking about the scope going on a BLR. A 50mm objective scope would be about the worst choice possible as the BLRs have a very low comb and the scope would need high rings to fit.
Like I said a 50 is not my first choice but if it’s better in every other way I would consider it. Right now I got a mosberg 30-30 with a cheap Tasco 3-9 and that came of my saveage 30-06. Looking to sell my 30-30 and my 30-06 for a blr or a bar and use that as my brush gun and keep my tikka as a stand gun. I got a 6-25x50 on my tikka right now for bench use but want to put this on it for this season and next year get my bar or blr.

I like the Burris full field 2.5-10 illuminated. And is kinda what I am leaning towards but my brother runs one and wants a devoted daw to dusk scope so I was just seeing if there is something like this in this price point with a little better glass. But I have used his and enjoy it. I was in between this and the struck eagle 1-8 witch is 150 off at bass pro right now bring it to my budget with a 1 power witch I would love.

Prophet also just announced a Zeiss open box sale

I was going to suggest a trijicon Huron or ascent until you said illuminated. For what its worth i have lots of iluminated scopes but have never turned them on when hunting. The trijicons are very reliable and durable and definitely a scope you can trust. They can be found around $700.
i got an illuminated trijicon credo 3-9x40 brand new about 9 months ago for under 700.

3.5 is more magnification then I want for dense brush and quick target acquisition. I go have a 50mm object lends on my bench rest rifle and it is a little big for brush hunting but if I comes with good dawn to dusk performance I am more then willing to put a high comb check rest on my gun. But I would prefer the smaller 40 size if it has similar low light performance.
Out in the bush you will not see any difference in performance with a 50mm or a 40mm... it's really a technical on paper thing for about 5 minutes as light is changing.
3.5 power is fully capable of close range in the bush. 2 power is nicer though.
The 2-7 Leupold Firedot with a 30mm tube would be an excellent choice.

Where did you find that? I actually just bought one of those this week from a member here for $450 but the illumination doesn't work (he told me before purchasing). Seems like a great scope as well. My 3rd trijicon and I love them all.

better than the Burris? for the 1.5X the price even, I doubt it
Burris is descent glass and I don’t mind it and I will probably buy a Burris. But was curious to see if there were other less common names around that people really like that may compete with it like the Arken stuff. Their glass quality is great. They loss out a little on other things. And just seeing if my research works out to what the people consensus is.
