Meat Eater is good, but gets a bit silly at times. I mean, it's hunting, and we do it because it's fun. It's not like it's some sacred activity.
I used to love watching Kristoffer Clausen's older montages on YouTube, but his newer stuff is super lame. Take some model to Africa, get her to shoot a warthog, sell the DVD.
Some of the stuff you see on the Quebecois hunting expo circuit is OK. Tournee de films de chasse or something like that, I have friends who've had footage in there.
I occasionally enjoy Deadly Passion, but I don't think she's an especially great shot. Props to her for the self-filmed stuff, but when she's going "handgun hunting" and brings a bipod, it just looks ridiculous. She is definitely one of the better shows out there.
The Field Archer has great YouTube stuff if you want to see deer smacked down.
I think there's actually a huge opportunity for some sort of YouTube show that collects user clips, along with generating practical new content. As always, the trouble is revenue. Views alone will never pay the bills, so you need sponsorship. If I lost my job in the motorcycle industry, this is something I'd be chasing for sure. Something like hickock45 or Iraquiveteran888, easy going but genuine.
The main issue with most Canadian shows is that they do very little to actually help you feel the excitement of the hunt, and if there is something cool, it's ruined by some lame lame lame canned music, and the clip at the end where they say they couldn't have done it without their YamaSaki ATV. I get it, they have bills to pay, but the BS just turns me off.
