I think a canopy would do better for sneaky bears at night. The tent is a good idea as long as it's a bear free area.
There are bear-free hunting areas in Canada?
We tent right in the densest grizzly population in Canada whilst hunting them, don't worry you'll be fine!![]()

Alberta is not hard on vehicles due to dry conditions , no salt on the roads like the east coast .They use rocks instead but very hard on windshields , every third vehicle has a broken windshield . Alberta is terrible at road maintenance

Thanks Phil. I'm just getting into the float flying. She's a 59 Cessna 180B. I'd think these would be a pretty common sight throughout Alaska and the Yukon. I'm hoping to take the kids up there soon (this summer maybe) to see Kluane.
