Lots of people in the US use large caliber revolvers but don't hear too much about using pistols.

When we were able to hunt using a handgun, many years ago in Ontario, we had some $hit-for-brains, "Pushing the envelope", wear them into a local pub near the hunting grounds.
The right/privlege whatever was cancelled the following year.
Something to bear in mind if we ever get that back in our lifetimes.
Thanks for the link. Interesting reading.First time I've heard this angle. The only common denominator in the stories is Ontario. The most pausible story I've heard to date was OFHA had handgun hunting squashed by withdrawing support for it.
