Huskemaw optics and the Best of the west clowns

Fair enough, what would be the rate of success? Would it have to be 100% at all distances.

For me yes. If I can't hit a gong every time at a certain distance with no pressure to shoot, I have to believe my odds go way down when a real animal is in front of me. The same rules would apply for much shorter range shooting too from the standing position. To me the gong is the great equalizer and my benchmark as to my ability.

Perhaps a coach alongside would rectify that. :)

By using a 10 inch gong as the standard do you consider a shot that does not hit the vitals as a miss or a marginal hit.

If the animal dies I consider it lucky....if I lose the animal it's worse than a miss. Time to start analyzing where I screwed up in either case.

We know you're the best sheephunter, but thanks for reminding us anyhow..........repeatedly.

I'm light years from the best but I've certainly improved my skills thanks to a helping hand from others. One definitely never quits learning if they want to.

so who has a huskemaw scope and how reliable is it?

Buddy of mine had a family member buy him a Huskemaw. Shoots ok so far but I do not hold it in high regard. The clarity sucks. Hazy image at best after tinkering with it at the range. Significantly lower quality optic than a VXI, does not even come close when compared to a VX3 or Swarovski. I have an ancient Bushnell Banner from when I was kid that has a clearer sight picture than the Huskemaw. Considering the quality of optics Leupold is offering in the $400 range, I would expect more from something in the Huskemaw price range.

Keep in mind, every program on WildTV is flogging some kind of crap, whether it be a junky knife, poorly made clothing, scorpion optics or huskemaws. Best of the West is especially well planned as far as marketing a product. They convince the trailer park snipers and rookies to buy Huskemaw. Just because some guy on tv says it's great, doesn't make it true. Buyer beware.

But, despite my dislike for the scope, and my desire to see the video of bad shots that never air, I do recall the hosts of Best in the West commenting on knowing your rifle, knowing your bullet, and practicing.

It is the American way, well Canadian too , to sell products in any way they can.It is now common practice to lie in order to sell.Don't care if you actually need this product, but we are telling you that you do, so buy it to be cool just like us.

Want more proof? Who needs a cell phone?

You owe me a beer next time your south - cause mine ended up all over the keyboard. Trailer park snipers - too funny!

"Trailer Park Snipers" ,what a name for a reality show to be aired on Wild TV.:dancingbanana:

Yep for sure stubble - I was imagining Ricky doing the voice, "You don't have to sell rocket appliances to know huskemaw scopes are boss. In fact I make shots at a half a mile completely stoned, better than Indianapolis Jones"
