Husqvarna Sporting Rifles #### - ALL MODELS!!!

Any pre completion pics of the stock!

Waiting on a call to jump in the truck and drive over to pick it up sometime this week. I might just cheat and do a little hunting in the south country tomorrow so I can sneak in a peak at how it's going.

Husky in .243 I just ordered! Had been trying to decide between a newer rifle in my desired caliber (.243) and a nice husky from TradeEx in 6.5x55 and this popped up on another site as the perfect option for me.

It looks to be a model 3000/3000P (263###?), Ill figure out for sure when I receive it in person. Here are some photos from the seller:

In good, but definitely not factory condition. Rear (weaver?) mounts have an extra slot milled, chipped plastic on the stock, iron sights removed, and what looks to be a replacement trigger of some kind based on the safety. Timney maybe?

The seller didn't have a lot of information on it, but had reputable reviews and said it was otherwise in excellent condition.

Anyone here have some insights/thoughts on this model?

Looking to put some iron sights back on it or just mount budget 3x9.

very nice condition; so is it a .243 or 6.5x55?

Thanks, its a .243. Its my desired caliber in my desired action.

6.5x55 would have been fine, but I was looking for something more common, even though I reload.

regentrecon,

What you have is a 3000 / Crown Grade, "old style" made in 1962 which is missing the front and rear sights. The barrel was made with 4 lands an grooves with a 10":1 twist.

I have a Husky in 270, I believe the 1900 or 9000 series action. It has the screw below the bolt near the tang for trigger adjustment. Anyone have a little info on adjusting the trigger on these?

It's the former 3000 stock. The later one have a squarish nose and, when made for export to North America, also have a thick polyurethane coating.

I have the instructions somewhere (I moved last summer and I am not finished unpacking), but it's pretty straightforward as you only have one screw to play with.

Was the alloy floorplate engraving done at the Husqvarna factory or was it farmed out or maybe even totally aftermarket? I have seen it a lot on the HVA model 1900, but only recently on an HVA model 458. (Photos: Model 458 above and model 1900 below.)

The top one might have come from the HVA custom shop. The bottom one is quite standard but was also available from the HVA custom shop. Usually, when it came with these scroll engravings from factory, it was either custom orders or some higher grade models.

My Husqvarna 1651Lyx 358 Norma Mag has the top style factory engraving .

Not really. These were offered at the reseller level. Already engraved bottom metal were also available as aftermarket parts.
