Husqvarna Sporting Rifles #### - ALL MODELS!!!

thanks throttle...........
here is another I recently acquired , 6.5 x 55.......I haven't touched it yet, not sure what I'm going to do with this one , clean it up , leave it ???
love it though, came with a cheap fixed 4X scope but stacks em real nice at 100 yards......looking forward to reloading for this one

again , any info is very much appreciated.......any recommendations for a scope for this rifle , was thinking something old school , not to much bling

Gents with an action like this year and vintage do I need to be conservative when hand loading for it ?
I did shoot a handful of factory Fusion 140 grainers and it seemed to handle it just fine , just curious....
Any suggestions for load data I'm always interested to hear on recipes
Thanks again
Have a good evening all

For moderation matter, we dont't deal with reloading here.
If you stay within published datas from reliable source, you will he ok. If you want to throw rockets to Jupiter, you.may not have the safest action ever made.

What is the story on the Helstock Conversions? Modified to Helstock after production using an available kit?[/QUOTE/]/

They were available both for the DIY hobbyist and from the giunsmiths. Yes, it was an aftermarket thing, there used to be A LOT of custom / replacement parts for the M/94/96/38 and HVA rifles in Sweden.

Yes it is the 20 in. barrel. I actually sold off a Ruger UltaLight and a Remington m7 both in 308 win. I have been smitten by the Swedish beauties. Looking forward to seeing your Husky.

Actually, the American models often shows a higher wood figuring than those yhat just came from Sweden. In Sweden, these rifles were regarded as tools, and that's why they used so much the beech wood for their stocks; it's much cheaper.

As for the original finish goes, it's not shellac, it's either linseed oil or polyurethane.

Baribal- good to know. Mine must have been polyurethane. It was chipped everywhere and took the better part of 6 hours just to get it off.

I've just applied my first coat of linseed and it looks great. Now just another few weeks of sanding and oiling
