The trigger is the only real negative I can find on the rifle, it is heavy and a long pull, you really have to concentrate on a smooth squeeze as you wait for it to fire
Mine was awful when I first got it too. It was easily around a 7lb pull. If yours is the single stage Mauser style as mine is, I found taking a coil off the spring and regrinding it flat, then stoning both trigger and release sears, before polishing with a wheel and gradually-finer compounds made a massive difference to both feel and pull-weight. Fifteen minutes work has taken mine down to a crisp 3lb pull now, and has transformed the rifle. I really liked it before, but now it's a real favourite!
