Husqvarna Sporting Rifles #### - ALL MODELS!!!

How do you guys like the triggers on your 1640? I had one, loved the rifle itself and the action. ####tt awful trigger made me sell it. Bought a rifle similar to a 1900 and I really like it.
I like mine. The one on my 1640 in Thuddy-odd-Six is fine, on a par with the Howa 1500 in the same caliber I had before. Not perfect, but plenty good enough for the girls I go out with.

And yes, the one on the Hva 1900 is much better.

I installed a Timney trigger on my 1640 this past weekend. Had to do a little Dremel work to make it fit, but now I've got a vastly improved trigger...

I ended up bottoming out the windage adjustment. I switched the Weavers for Leupold 49989. Surprisingly the outdoor store next to my place had 1 in stock at 50% off.

The store even installed the scope from another store.

Buying a lottery ticket soon.

Edit: Got a second base. I feel lucky.

Back in the Husqvarna game with a 46A 9.3x57. Anyone have any tips on removing the dark oil stains on the stock inletting before refinishing? Stock came with finish already stripped but would like to clean up the staining before applying a new oil finish.

Yes, acetone works. I have also used Old Dutch Cleanser and a rag with warm water. The good thing about the Dutch cleanser is that there are no organic compounds that gas off, so it could be used inside with no ventilation. Nice when it’s -30 outside.

The 46A is a great little rifle, and the 9.3X57 one of the most underrated and unknown big game cartridges in North America.

Have fun,
Ted

Acetone didn’t seem to do much but I didn’t stay at it too long. Boiled some water and poured over the stained parts and seemed to work somewhat. I might try that again with some Dawn dish soap.

Have fun, I’ve had one for about a year and haven’t done any serious shooting with it yet. That’s about to change this weekend. Got the bolt turned and a rail installed. K2.5x weaver on there, ready for the range!! 286gr interlocks here we come!

Anyone have any info on this unit? much appreciated.
