I am getting a spray of oil firing my cz 858

Use less, way less.
I can't speak for the CZ specifically but more then just a few drops giving a nice, light even coating on all internal components is too much.

"Too little is just enough."

You don't really need any oil if any.
If you cleaned it, then used clp and wiped it down, that would be plenty.
If you wanted, you could try grease. If you do try grease, use marine grease.

Don't follow the instructions that came with it. Mine said to "immerse" the cleaning pad in the oil, lol and then put it down the barrel. I might as well pour Aunt Jemima's maple syrup down there for all the good the instructions do lol. I clean mine like I clean all my other firearms.

I'm going to be the black sheep here, I run corrosive through mine, not that it really matters or pertains to what ammo I'm shooting vs how much oil I use, but I run mine pretty wet, and sometimes get a little excess for the first few shots (put on the shades boys! lol). With that being said I usually run through at least a 720 spam can when I bring it out so it's usually pretty dry by the time I'm done.

I shoot non-corrosive but do the same. Soak it down, suck it up!

Take it apart clean it out and put no oil in the gas system it was designed to run dry.

2-3 drops of oil should be enough to do almost any rifle.
