Yes, it's true. I am doing what I said I would NEVER do, and that is purchase a 30-06.

However, the $299 Stevens was soooo cheap.

I am going to mount a Bushnell scope that I have lying around, and it wil be my truck gun.

It's cheap enough that if some prick steals it, i won't cry.

And maybe I'll rebarrel it to 35 Whelen someday, if I get around to it.
