congrats
I have a silver bolt...so I think it's neither blued or painted. as for the magazine capacity and how it's limited...not a clue. I don't see any pins. Are the metal parts other than the bolt and bolt carrier blued or painted? How is the magazine capacity limited?
that said, we're having difficulty removing the bolt assembly. we pop the switch, pull the pin-thingy, but it won't budge. wiggles a bit...but just won't budge.
Mosin the problem is the housing at the back that the bolt slides back in to is what I can't get off. I release the flippy tab and the housing rocks back and forth and not even a hammer gets the housing off. Thought that link will let me take the bolt apart to avoid slam fires if I ever get the stupid housing off.
.....and not even a hammer gets the housing off....
NO! bad kayaker! no hammer!!!
is it just me or is your bayonet black?
is it just me or is your bayonet black?
i had a fella who bought 4 sks when i bought mine and he owned a few more, he seemed pretty knowledgeable about em he had picked out an "izzy" sks from the back etc etc, he told me that the black bayo was ceremonial or something to that effect, didnt mention anything about refurb.. mines got black bayo chrome chamber and bore and laminate stock, he picked it out said it was mint with matching numbers... so whats wrong with the black bayo?
I agree on that! If the ammo (X54R) was more abundant, it would be number one in my books tooi don't think you can find a better rifle for 200bucks.... well mosin is a close second![]()
