I can't wait for this to come out!

Man, speak for yourself: if we're lucky enough to have these rifles imported for purchase, I'm all over one... :D

FN FS2000 isnt exportable so this shouldnt be either. Lets face it, the US sucks. Maybe if we where Israel there would be a chance.

I'd rather take the US's reason for not exporting than Canada's reason for not importing. Or Quebec's attitude towards guns.

I don't see why the DOS would ban it from export, 20" barrel, solid stock unless they're sensitive about the hole BP thing.
You do know collapsable stocks are banned right? They don't need reason.

Are we even sure this will get in as a non-AUG variant?

If the rifle isn't an AUG variant, then I don't see why it would be prohibited for export by the US. It's just a plain bullpup rifle, it's not a scary military rifle...

The U.S seems to be getting very particular about exports as of late. On the other hand no SBR so it shouldn't be a problem stateside (afaik). It's convincing the overlords it's not an aug.

So why is it called a Sturmgewehr? Is this just eurostyle marketing to further associate it with the Steyr? It is made in the states, no?
Anyone know how it differs internally from the AUG?

The AR180B is a derivative of the AR180, so you never know.

The M96 is a derivative of the Stoner 63 (can't recall if the 63 is prohib by name).

Anybody working on bringing this into the country? I look at the tech specs brochure (found here) and I don't see anything that would make it a prohib concidering "they redesigned the gun, and its a derevative on the AUG"

20'' Non Restricted or 16" Restricted sounds good to me.
