It's been a wild couple of weeks. First a guy comes on the forum and I almost send him $700 for a Glock 23, 3rd generation.
The mods alerted me that he was a scammer, but I'd sold two guns already.
Then I put out a feeler for a Sig P225, and Redleg was nice enough to sell me one from his collection.

THEN I see this Combat Commander, 9mm!

I have been looking for one a long time, but no money.

So I sold my AR on another site while this one was down.

Oh well, there are always more AR's for now, but these two pistols are hard to get.

I will live!

Very nice find on the SIG, & a 9mm Combat Commander too! The 9mm is on my wish list, to go with my .38 Super & .45ACP.

I never sent the money luckily. The post disappeared and I talked to some mods. I should have known there were no third generation prohib G23's, and we never discussed shipping.

He advertised as pussbreath and maybe that should have been a clue.

He said it was all a big misunderstanding and on the advice of one of the mods I offered to send the money once the transfer was started knowing he could cancel if the money never came.

He refused.

Lucky me.

PS What are the best quality 1911 9mm mags and where can I get some?

Yeah - join the 'almost ripped off' club! I almost sent him money for a SA TRP pistol (crazy good price - sign #1). Same boat - never discussed shipping, but was eager to get my money.

The biggest kicker? I did a search for the wording he used in his post, and found one on Gunbroker.com. Guess what? The picture he sent me of 'his gun' was IDENTICAL to one being sold in North Carolina! Same file name and .jpg extension in the picture! I politely told him no deal.

I did a search on Gunbroker and also found a Desert Eagle (with 5 mags) that he was 'selling' as one of his own.

Scammer to the max. I have his personal info should anyone want it. He's out of Port Coquitlam. When I challenged him on why he had multiple accounts here, and how one account 'sold' a gun to the other guy and had 'positive feedback', he said "oh, it's a big misunderstanding. I have no relationship to those guys." Yeah, right. His email addresses were all very similar between the accounts.

I too was told by the mods to run for the hills, and I'm glad I did.

I want them BOTH! That's why I had to sell something. Sig trigger is not bad. I am still waiting for my ATT renewal so I havn't shot it yet.

I have a short trigger coming but it feels fine the way it is.

.........don't forget the Military Police I am sure the women would agree as one of the reason why the 225 was bought was because women (with smaller hands) were more likely to have an easyer time with the smaller grip

and maybe the guy posting this might be part of one of those branches

and maybe alot of them would agree.

ok think what you want, its my opinion and i am not the only one who shares it.
and it was why it was bought.
given the choice I would take a browning over a 225 anyday, sorry but thats my belief if you guys like the 225 ....sincerly all the power too ya...... enjoy them.

For anyone following this post, the trigger reach on my new 225 is about the same as my last two P220's, and slightly longer than my Browning Hi-Power.
