I have a dream...A Norinco AR-10...

Not true, another company on CGN I will not mention their name as this is another sponsers forum, just had an AR-10 design successfully receive a non restricted ruling. If you wish to know which one you can PM me and I would happily point to you who it was.
 
CanadaAmmo, do we know that Norinco doesn't have the drawings for the AR-10 or the AR-180B, or at least access to them? After all, they are somewhat tied in with Chinese gov't, and I would surprised if there was a drawing for any gun hat they didn't have...


Also, I saw the earlier comment about Canadian made firearms not requiring an FRT. Have you guys considered expanding into manufacturing at all?

im alittle confused. so the ISNT a NFA weapon in the states or is it? i know the BATFE says once a machine gun, always a machine gun. so would the RCMP say the same about this one? would it be treated like the 1919's we can get here?

The Hahn machine AR10 lowers were made back in the day when a single saw cut was deemed sufficient to "destroy" the lower. Also, being stamped and in Hahns book proves they were made way back then. There is much confusion about what would be a legal reweld today, but much less confusion about the old rewelds. I have two Hahns.

I know squat about CA gunlaw 'cause I am south of the border. I wonder how one of the other US made semi lowers (Telko, Specialty Arms) would be viewed by the RCMP? If the mounties dislike Telkos and S.A.'s then they will really be upset with a Hahn reweld.

Who/what is IRG? Other options are to acquire a lower receiver that has been hack sawn. All the measurements could be taken from it and I believe it is kosher to own such a thing. I certainly do not want my Hahn's out of sight, especially out of country.
 
IRG = I Run Guns, an importer. we have no other options here. there are only rumors and conjecture about these mythical beasts. we'd have an easier time find a ProGun liberal politician than a non converted auto version.

i have not even heard of a saw cut gun up here.

Hey guys, I am not sure if this is the original one or not, however these are the dimensions for the LOWER receiver of a SEMI-AUTO Ar-10. It is Dated '81 so I thought it may be.

HOWEVER these are from the Ar-10 newsletter, and hand made so I do not know if the dimensions might be slightly off...
 
John at wolverine supplies has an original ar10 select fire. Wonder if it could be blueprinted. Next would be some parts kits...

Well it would have to be patterned off the select fire (original ar10) if you want it to be NR. You build it with auto sear holes filled in and solid so it cannot be converted to fa. The factory did just that in the 50s.and it was NR I believe, but incredibly rare.
The original ar10 is not a variant of the ar15 unlike the new production version.
