I hope an abomination like this will never exsit here, NOT FOR THE FAINT HEARTED!!!

Since a AR is useless any way it's made making it a bolt action can't hurt. I can't see wanting one with all the good guns out there .

People like you are the problem... You don't care about anyone else's preferences in guns yet you'll be complaining and crying for everyone to help when they go after your antique revolvers.

It doesn't matter if you aren't into that style of rifle, the government will work its way one by one until they have accomplished taking them all from us. We need to stand together even if we don't like that style of gun or shooting.

Does anyone know where I could buy a tinfoil hat? I have the tinfoil but haven't the fabrication skills to craft one...
I'll take an NR bolt AR looking precision rifle for under a grand too. And gravy.

This.

It is just a variation of a firearm that some may enjoy, and promote the shooting sports. I am all for it.

Except for Mossberg. Phuck Mossberg.

It won't be NR, It ain't a precision rifle, It 's no where near under a grand (CAD $2700 )
no tinfoil hat for you but if you vote for liberal you may get the ugly abortion in the pics.

If it was non restricted I would buy one but not if it meant sacrificing my true AR's or if it gave the anti's any leverage at all against a real AR.

I would much prefer we all join forces and get AR's removed from the restricted list (regardless of barrel length) and also get rid of the stupid magazine capacity laws that do nothing to increase public safety.
One step further would be to get rid of firearms classifications all together and legalize suppressors.

I see some of us have a bit of misunderstanding about the creation of this rifle and my post,
This is not a precision rifle created for the target shooting crowd, this is a law abiding AR 15 for the AR crowd in the UK, because they are not allowed to own a semi-auto AR15 or any semi-auto center fire.
they were forced to come up with this, this is NOT your bolt action precision rifle made look like a AR, this is a AR forcefully neutered by LAW.

Just want people to know it could very well happen here, whether it's a straight pull AR in the UK or a $4000 SKS in Australia (click here)

Lol this kind of fear mongering is what's wrong with gun owners. When the mere existence of something on another continent has you screaming doom and gloom because you think this is the only possible endgame. Fear of an inanimate object. This isn't the UK and we aren't a (complete) bunch of pansies who roll over and take it as some would have you believe. Remember the LGR? Thing of the past when one of our balls got rolling in Gov't. We backed the Conservatives and we scrapped the LGR. Now someone finds a legal way to put black rifles in the hands of UK gun owners and it spells the end of the world? That sounds like anti-gun propaganda. There are people who want all guns banned, yes. They're extremist lefties with smoke & mirror tactics that don't stand up in modern Government. Democracy does not allow total domination of a minority in this country. Saying otherwise is nothing more than emotionally charged blasphemy. The same thing the anti's use. The same thing that accomplishes nothing. We're not going to give up which means we will not be snuffed out. We consist of a little more than just a couple guys with guns. Get your pants off your head and settle down.

^^ I have to disagree, we are pretty much a bunch of pansies.. look at the laws we live with and accept. The whole Firearms Act is a complete joke, ATT laws, magazine laws, self defense laws, property laws, etc. Look at all the prohibited and restricted rifles that were overnight reclassified such by politicians. It's been how many years and nothing has changed, no big fight for them back. How many new guns have came out since and been reclassified and kept that way with no huge fight. Sure we still have our right nut, but our left one has been taking... and they are inching closer and closer with the scalpel..

That is where we will certainly end up if we don't stick together and make the government change. Unfortunately most of society is oblivious still and think the government is still working for them.

I have lived in both UK and Austrlia long enough to witness how their gun owners rights slowly being taken away, as I have always said to people like you, it's not how you put up a fight, you will lose in the end, it's who you put in the office. My post is merely a reminder, take for what it is, I'm not here to argue or start a conspiracy.

Btw, calling British and Australian gun owner pansies is laughable, many simply did not have a choice with the wrong party in power.

They didn't remove the LGR because of some big uprising or because we forced them to, they did it for financial reasons or some other motivation that we don't know of. The reason it's gone is because they wanted it gone, not because we forced their hand.

So I voted conservative for nothing? And all the others that did the same had nothing to do with it, all those who went to bat for us... it happened for "some other reason". What a crock of s**t. We banded together and fought for something we wanted. You sit there looking at your half empty glass of freedom, scared of whatever has you so scared. Sounds depressing. We live in a free country. A democracy. That gives us a voice. If all you want to do is give up and be sad cos some crazy people wanna take your guns away then fine. If you think a multi billion dollar industry supported by tens of thousands of like minded Canadians is just going to dry up and drift away like a fart in the wind then just sell your guns. You obviously think they're just gonna get taken away anyways so why bother? You've already given up. I don't want to see SPBARs as the only option either but I don't see that happening without a complete industry giving up and rolling over. Still too scared to think logically?

I'm not saying it happened for no reason, what I mean is that it probably happened for a reason that benefits the government. If that's the case why have they done nothing more for us? Sure getting rid of the LGR was nice for us, but why didn't they just do the real deal and get rid of it all together? Scrap the registry for all rifles.. Get rid of the crap prohibitions on guns that has no effect on safety.. they know that those restrictions have no safety benefits. They could have easily just done nothing to the LGR, we would be in the same place as before and it wouldn't have had some drastic effect on them.

For you to sit there and think that you are safe and it will never happen is way more out to lunch then me thinking it will happen unless we get off our butt's and do something about it. You think UK and Aus wanted it to happen? If it can happen to them it can happen to us just as easy. We aren't like the USA where we have it in our constitutional rights, and to take that away is very serious. If the US government took up UK laws there would be a civil war. That's not how it works though, they chip away at it slowly.. one restriction at a time, until they get what they want. It's happening up here, its happening down there as well.

first of all, nobody here is scared let's get that fact straight, it's not like my life is on the line, why would I be scared?
I'm merely worried, worried about people's ignorance, they don't realized the antis has a upper hand In this country not unlike in the UK and Australia, majority of pepole in canada don't own guns, nor do we have a constitution that give us the right to own guns. We also have a political system much like the ones they have in the uk and oz, when anti get a majority it's pretty much guaranteed you will start to lose your gun right, this is not fear mongering, this not being doom and gloom, it's merely a conscious reminder of the situation. It doesn't mean that we are just going to lay down and give up, we need to donate more, we need to be smart about who we are voting for, we need to educate people around us more about guns and not just hide our guns so people don't bother us, you may already be doing all of that but you'd be surprised how many people who aren't, and my post is more or less directed at them. I read perfectly fine and still failed to see your reason to attack me, it's you that can't see what I'm doing here.

To save a lot of reading, in simple terms.....

The privilege of gun ownership will most likely be chipped away slowly. That way it does not raise a big alarm or overly huge outcry. Take it away piecemeal. The industry will fade away piecemeal also. This is a very effective plan.

As stated, we have no constitutional right like in the US.

Britain and Australia are also democracies so how did it happen there?

What if the PC's change their stance on firearms in the future? We may have no party to support us ..... we may face the same fate as British and Australians shooters.

What happens when the classification system is updated to the new firearms being offered that didn't exist previously?

I think our position will always be precarious. Even if all the laws were reversed by the PC, it can be undone by the next party.

A bolt action gun that looks like an AR? Big deal. I can go buy a hundred bolt guns tomorrow. Nothing to see here.

Tinfoil and fear. ;)
